Did you miss Learning Abroad’s Program Preview week? Recordings of all sessions will be made available through Learning Abroad by mid-February.
This week-long virtual event, held Jan. 25-28, gave students a sneak peek at a variety of learning abroad experiences, from Faculty-led programs to Affiliate and Exchange opportunities. Faculty directors hosted ‘mini-lectures’ related to their programs and Q&A sessions to get students excited about learning abroad in the future.
“There’s no doubt that we are currently navigating unprecedented times, but the pandemic has also shown that international cooperation and intercultural understanding are more important now than ever,” said Sabine Klahr, Associate Chief Global Officer and Executive Director of Learning Abroad at the University of Utah.
Even with travel restrictions in place, this is a great time to research programs and plan your path to a global education.
At this time, students may apply for Summer 2021 Affiliate programs, the Utah Asia Campus summer session, or the Exploring South Korea: Society, Development and Health Faculty-led program. Given the uncertainty of the pandemic, it is possible that international travel may become restricted or that the University could decide at a later date to suspend all international travel for Summer 2021 – including affiliate programs.
Updates to how Covid-19 measures are impacting Learning Abroad programs will be posted here.
